1. Udaipur City Palace
This should be your first stop when you’ve secured a hotel room. The legendary Lake Palace will captivate you with its grandeur and picturesque setting on the 4-kilometer-long man-made Lake Pichola. The Taj Group presently runs the palace, which offers breathtaking views of the Aravalli Hills. This is without a doubt one of the most romantic places in the state, and the history walks are to die for! Maharaja Jagat Singh II erected this magnificent palace, which will take your breath away with its sculpted marble and moldings. You can spend the entire day floating on Lake Pichola, which runs from Rameshwar Ghat to the City Palace.

3. Jagmandir

It is divided into several sections, including the Garden Courtyard, Gul Mahal, Darikhana, Bara Patharon ka Mahal, Kunwar Pada ka Mahal, and Zenana Mahal. This is another must-see stop on your boat ride.

4. Sajjangarh Palace
Sajjangarh Palace, also known as The Monsoon Palace, is located on a mountaintop and offers breathtaking views of Fateh Sagar Lake and the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary. This castle-like structure is straight out of a fairy tale and is a superb example of Rajput ruler splendour – the palace was built solely to enjoy watching monsoon clouds collect promisingly in the sky! The Sajjangarh Palace, built by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1884, should be on your list of sites to see in Udaipur, mostly for the outstanding panoramic views of Udaipur city and its stunning lakes, mountains, and castles. This magnificent palace is a sight to behold, especially when illuminated in the evenings. You can shoot some breathtaking photographs.

5. Saheliyon Ki Bari
Maharana Sangram Singh built Saheliyon Ki Bari, or the Garden of the Maidens, in the early 18th century. This magnificent construction served to the servants who would accompany the Princess of Udaipur to her husband’s hearth (part of the dowry given by the Maharana). Pretty women were dancing, singing, and having a good time in this spot, and the gorgeous marble elephants, fountains, lotus pool, and kiosks attest to the wealth of the time.

6. Lake Pichola
Lake Pichola, built in 1362 AD, most likely by a Banjara tribesman, is now an iconic symbol of Udaipur. The lake, which is over 4 kilometers long and 3 kilometers wide, is a must-see attraction in Udaipur. Over the years, a plethora of palaces, temples, royal apartments, ghats, and chabutaras have sprouted up around the lake and on its various islands. These structures, such as the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, are the most popular here, but for a unique experience, we recommend taking a boat from the City Palace to the Arsi Vilas Island and exploring the bird sanctuary it houses.

7. Udaisagar Lake
The Udaisagar Lake, one of Udaipur’s five famous lakes, was formed by Maharana Udai Singh in 1565 as a byproduct of a dam built across the Berach River to assure a steady water supply to the city. Because of its quiet settings and magnificent sunsets, it is now one of the popular spots to visit in Udaipur. You might even enjoy a lake excursion by boat or a camel ride along the shore.
